Friday’s Finale: Get Your Football Tickets!
Hello Hawkeye Nation!
Friday once again, and another great week was had. On Monday, we honored all of the men and women who served or are currently serving our country. Many of these men and have literally laid their lives on the line to protect the ideals this great nation has set forth. This is something I am very proud of, but will never truly be able to comprehend. A special thank you goes out to my brother 1st Lieutenant Bryce Parker for his dedication and service to our country.
On Tuesday, I was eligible to select my seats within historic Kinnick Stadium. Kinnick Stadium is the only stadium in the country to be named after a Heisman Trophy winner. Nile C. Kinnick was captain of the 1939 Ironman Football team, a role model student, and class president his senior year. He turned down an opportunity to play professional football to pursue a Law Degree at The University of Iowa. Before attaining his JD degree he felt compelled to serve in the United States Military which was in the preliminary stages of entering World War II. I encourage you to do a little more research about a man I truly look up to!
