Active Iowa Campus & Students

category icon Posted in General

One thing you will come to find out about the UI campus is that we have a very active students and members.  Whether it is for politics, human rights, economics or the many other issues that effect the world, Iowa students are ready to make the issues known.  This past month was Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the UI along with community organizations (DVIP, Monsoon, RVAP, WRAC) had events almost every day.

The last day of April was Take Back the Night which is a national event.  It started in the heart of campus on the Pentecrest.  We then marched through the downtown supporting survivors and symbolically making the night safer.

Its events like these that make me really proud to be a part of the Iowa community.  There dozens of people out in support of survivors and educating the community!  What kind of activist will you be at Iowa?
