It is just an Elephant Stampede Drill
My 3 week adventure to India has final come to an end. It’s been a bit bumpy for the later portion, but overall, still memorable. During my last week, I visited schools in cooler and more mountainous areas. The views were absolutely gorgeous. While I was chatting with a staff member at a school, she informed me that they have to perform Elephant Stampede Drills every now and then because elephants live in the neighboring mountains and sometimes get on campus! I told her that I would volunteer for that team. The Midwest and our Tornado and Fire Drills just can’t compete with that level of adventure!
I grew up as a pilot’s daughter and have always loved flying and airports. I have to say that this trip to India has made me want to take a short break from flying. My flights home were delayed and I ended up getting home a day later. What was absolutely amazing was 1 of my 3 flights was upgraded to Business Class! I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to Economy again . It will be hard to go back to a chair that doesn’t fully recline and only a 1 course meal.
