Since living in Iowa City for almost three months now, I have experienced a multitude of things. The overall “campus life” has definitely been a change of pace from my quaint little family-friendly town back home, but it’s been a good one. No matter the time or day of the week, there is always something going on. The other night my friends and I were walking out of Mesa Pizza downtown (if you haven’t heard of it, you will) and we heard some loud salsa-esque music coming from the Ped Mall. We decided to check it out. Lo and behold… there was a full blown fiesta going on! Okay. So maybe not, but it was a pretty exciting occurrence and as close to a fiesta as I’ve ever seen. Basically, Iowa City is full of random activities and events. Did I mention this salsa extravaganza was happening on a Sunday night? Yeah. I have yet to be bored here.
