As you consider Iowa, whether prospective student, visitor, family or friend, I know you may be asking yourself (or others may be asking YOU), “What is there to do in Iowa?!” \u00a0I, much like my Iowa Admissions\u00a0colleague,\u00a0Tom, have heard many perceptions of Iowa. \u00a0Tom wrote a great blog post in response to the ever-popular question, “What is there to do in Iowa.” \u00a0To read his post, and find what there is to do in Iowa, check out his blog at:\u00a0What can you do in Iowa?<\/a><\/p>\n

To compliment what Tom said in his blog about activities, I’d simply state, Iowa City is an oasis of fun. \u00a0In addition to the fun things you’re already doing (video games, pick-up basketball at the rec, ultimate frisbee in Hubbard Park, board games at Java House, people watching on the Pentacrest, socializing on your dorm floor) you’ll find plenty of free or discounted events, activities, and performances happening\u00a0all the time<\/span>.. \u00a0You’ll see these events\/activities advertised all around campus, but there are a few places you can always look to see what’s happening. \u00a0I recommend the following:<\/p>\n
