As I’ve probably stated before in this blog, college quickly teaches you that you physically cannot do everything. However if you’re anything like me you don’t see college as an overwhelming place of people, but rather a place with hundreds of fun and enticing organizations you can join! Clubs and organizations on campus are a great way to meet people with similar interests and find new experiences to get involved with. Although I could make entire list about great organizations on campus, I am particularly proud to be a part of a newer organization on campus, On Iowa!<\/p>\n
Created about 4 years ago, the On Iowa! program serves to transition new students into the sometimes-overwhelming-college-experience. This week long program assists students with move-in, introduces them to Iowa’s tools for college success, and provides multiple days full of fun activities. As an On Iowa! Captain for this upcoming year, I am working hard to recruit for our 2014 team. I deeply believe in the success of this program and can see the immense amount of progress it has made just within the past few years. If you are a student currently enrolled at the University of Iowa and are interested in applying to be a leader, applications are due this Thursday! You can apply at the On Iowa! website<\/a>. If you are an incoming student get excited for this amazing program and hopefully a wonderful first week at college this Fall! See you then!<\/p>\n On Iowa!
