After a much-needed break, I hope everyone is adjusting to classes reasonably smoothly. However, it can be difficult for some people\u2014including myself\u2014to find the motivation to finish classes strong with five weeks remaining. I&#8217;ve put together a few quick tips for you guys that will help you get through the last few weeks of assignments and exams. We got this for real y&#8217;all!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Review and Revise.\n<ul>\n<li>Go through your class notes and lecture slides. Highlight key concepts, formulas, and important details. Start preparing for when it is finally time for you to review your notes for exams<\/li>\n<li>If you missed any classes, catch up by watching recorded lectures or reaching out to classmates. Don\u2019t be afraid to email your professors or TAs as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create a 5-week study plan.\n<ul>\n<li>Break down the next month or so in your calendar and start setting aside dates to study and prepare for exams.<\/li>\n<li>Break down your study sessions into manageable chunks. Aim for focused study periods of 25-30 minutes followed by short breaks.<\/li>\n<li>Use the Pomodoro Technique to maintain productivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Take advantage of Uiowa\u2019s resources.\n<ul>\n<li>Writing Center<\/li>\n<li>Uiowa Libraries<\/li>\n<li>Math Lab<\/li>\n<li>Tutor Iowa<\/li>\n<li>Supplemental Instruction<\/li>\n<li>OFFICE HOURS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Work with people.\n<ul>\n<li>Form study groups with classmates. Discuss concepts, share notes, and quiz each other.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching someone else reinforces your own understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Finally\u2026don\u2019t forget to take care of yourself\n<ul>\n<li>I know that these final weeks can seem very draining, but finishing strong is the best way to keep up good grades in your classes and set yourself up for a stress-free summer.
