<\/p>\nTo be completely honest, I couldn’t come up with one specific thing I wanted this entry to be about. Although life is definitely starting to feel normal here, my day-to-day activities are becoming more and more miscellaneous.<\/p>\n
So without further ado, here is a collection of things that I’ve done in the last two-ish weeks!<\/p>\n

<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\nSince Halloween is approaching, Celia and I decided to make the room a little spookier. She put up various cling stickers and I\u00a0swapped out our pink daisies above the microwave with some fall-themed ones instead. I also decided to make some DIY ghost friends one afternoon and they really add to the overall spook of the room. The best part: I made these little ghouls with just tissues, cotton balls, a sharpie, and string. Oh, and remember the pumpkins I talked about in my last post? Yeah, they got smelly really quick. So after about a week of being on display, they were out of our room.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\nOne afternoon, my dad came up to visit me and I knew exactly where I wanted to take him for lunch. By using up two of my flex meals on the Street Hawk Food Truck, we were saving money and had a really great meal in the process. I don’t get to spend a lot of quality time with my dad, so I really loved having him here and having time to catch up. P.S. the cookies they offer as a side are even better if you microwave them.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, October 19th, I had my very first official choir concert with Women’s Chorale and it was so much fun. The concert started out with performances by two high schools from Iowa City, followed by the choirs from the university. I really love getting to watch other choirs sing, especially ones with male voices since being in Women’s Chorale clearly lacks tenor and bass parts. This concert was particularly special for me and my friend Sydney because we were given to opportunity to sing a duet for one of our songs. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a recording of our performance on the Internet but we sang to Susan Brumfield’s arrangement of No Time. I’m so honored to have had this opportunity and can’t wait to get up on stage to sing with my choir at the next concert.<\/p>\n
ALSO, Celia and I decided that we want to keep living together! We’ve really loved being roommates and are currently looking for an apartment or house to rent together for our sophomore year. A few other girls we’re friends with are\u00a0interested in living with us, and we’re super pumped just thinking about it.<\/p>\n
