The idea of having to pack everything up again sounds daunting, but there are ways to eliminate that stress by preparing ahead of time!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start bringing clothes back over breaks! Bring a mixture of cold and warm weather clothes home if you can, and leave enough so you can dress for either season. Since Iowa&#8217;s weather can be unpredictable, I recommend leaving your coat and snow boots in the dorm until you move out!<\/li>\n<li>Clear out drawers. Recycle papers or toss items you do not need anymore, donate items that can donated if you do not want them anymore.<\/li>\n<li>Bring items home you don&#8217;t need for the rest of the year. I bought so many books this year, so I brought them back to Arizona with me since I can do without them!<\/li>\n<li>Get a storage space rented or find a place to keep items. As an out-of-state student, I cannot bring all my dorm supplies back. My roommate has a shed on her property so I&#8217;m keeping my winter clothes and dorm supplies there, but if you aren&#8217;t that lucky, there are many affordable storage rental places in town.<\/li>\n<li>Finish up food and other items to clear up space.<\/li>\n<li>Deep clean your room!
