The University of Iowa Office of Admissions is looking for a few great students to share their experience as a Hawkeye!
Our Experience Iowa Ambassadors will blog, video blog, and be social media influencers for the University of Iowa Office of Admissions. Your stories, photos, and videos will be shared on our website and you could be featured on our social channels.
This is your opportunity to help future Hawkeyes with their college search. Sharing your personal experiences can make a huge difference.
If chosen, we’ll give you some great Iowa goodies to help show your Hawkeye spirit!
How to apply
Apply today by completing our online application below, which asks why you want to be an Experience Iowa Ambassador and invites you to share videos, blog posts, and social media posts that help tell your story.
Applications are due August 11, 2021

What are the requirements?
If chosen, and to keep the Iowa goodies, you must agree to these terms of participation (we’ll send you a formal agreement):
- Post at least two written or video entries per month about your life as an Iowa student.
- Participate in at least one social media campaign per month.
The best ambassadors
Our ideal ambassador is going to be a good student, a creative and charismatic storyteller, and an insightful observer; someone who can share their experience with style.
Our goal is to recruit several ambassadors—including new first-year students and upperclass students—who collectively reflect the intellectual diversity, friendliness, talent, and aspirations of the University of Iowa student body. As an Iowa student, you can provide a glimpse of the true Iowa experience.
We understand that everyone has different strengths. Some of you may be stronger writers. Some of you may be more comfortable in front of the camera. Some of you may be social media stars. As part of this program, we want to showcase your strengths while helping you develop your skills in those other areas.
