Hi everyone! Now that I am back from fall break, I wanted to talk about the things my roommate and I did BEFORE leaving for fall break to make it easier when we came back to school!
- We took out the trash, so nothing would cause the room to smell while we were gone.
- We threw away any food that would have gone bad or expired while we were gone. Again, this can help make sure the fridge is fresh and won’t smell.
- Turned off our fans. Personally, my Woozoo fan is always on, so I made sure to turn it off before I left to give it a little break!
- Make our beds. It is nice to come home to a clean and made bed, even if I do not always want to make it!
- Packing the day before we leave. We usually leave Iowa City around noon, so we always pack the night before, so we do not have to worry about it right before we leave.
- If you have your car, take the bus to the Hawk Lot FIRST, and drive it to the dorm to pick up your stuff. Lugging all your stuff to the bus stop and then through the Hawk Lot is a hassle, and it is much easier to carry everything right outside the dorm!
These few things may seem small, but they make leaving and coming home from break much easier! That’s all for now!
