This Thursday, we freshmen reached a very important milestone – the first month of college classes! While it may be going good or bad so far, there’s no denying that it has been an absolute adventure. From meeting students with similar interests to in-class exploration, this month has given us so much to offer.
As someone who struggled to find friends during On Iowa! week, classes were a perfect opportunity to find people who matched my vibe. It’s been so nice to have people to study and learn together. Last week, my friend and I went to Le Crave (downtown) to study for our first General Chemistry I midterm (two more to go!). It would be nice to say we did study a lot, but it would be more truthful to say we had a good time.
All fun aside, it’s crazy to think that it’s been a month. I thought September just started!! It really is a reminder of how fast time flies by. So, while we live in the moment and make memories, I think it’s also important to view the future as something that is always coming closer with everyday, and not just some day later on in time.
For those who are unaware, course offerings and Schedule Builder open for Spring and Summer 2027. Get out there and find classes and communities that are not just about fulfilling course requirements, but also ones that help you grow as a human being. I’m thinking about enrolling in another creative writing class for next semester.
