It’s homecoming week?

Just a quick post this time as I am currently studying for a midterm, and just completed a paper for my Lit class. Not fun things to be doing, but I have been so nervous (paranoid really) about grades that I have re-dedicated myself to school for awhile.  I had an SPJ meeting last night, Society of Professional Journalist for those of you who don’t know yet, and it was pretty interesting. We have a fairly small group but its nice being around like-minded people, it was only about a 45 minute meeting too, so I never got that OMG WHEN CAN I LEAVE feeling.

I forgot it was homecoming week until I walked by old capitol today and saw the huge stage there setting up for some no name band. Still looking forward to the parade and game though, night game in Iowa City? yea it’ll be rockin’.

Well hello there

Well running into star football players around campus is my new favorite game. I’m going to start carrying a roster around with me and just check off who I’ve seen. So far Ive seen Adrian Clayborn about 3 times, once walking into the PBB, once walking passed me at the dining hall, and today on the streets I was so close I could of grabbed his dreads!!! He’s really not as big as he looks on the field. Granted I’m about 6’5 and fairly athletic, but still I was a little surprised that he wasn’t a mountain of a man. Besides AC94 I’ve also seen a few of the freshman stars of tomorrow (AJ Derby, CJ Fiedorowicz). If anyone has news on Stanzi please hook me up (wow that sounds stalker-ish).

Guess who I saw today?

Ok Ok, I know that this is my second post today but I have some exciting news, I saw Adrian Clayborn walking into the Business building today! That may not be important to some people but for a HUGE hawk fan such as myself this is the highlight of the day. Especially since football season doesn’t start until next Saturday, but this should keep me going until then. He actually didn’t look as big as I expected him too, maybe he lost some weight? added some muscles?

Anyone going to Lutheran Campus Ministry’s dinner tonight? If so you’ll definitely see me.
