Rarely do I actually attend any of the floor parties, as they’re usually lackluster. But recently, one of the parties was really fun, and brought a lot of our side of the floor together.
My RA, Kelsey, said it was initially going to be on the 5th floor lounge with dirty sodas and small snacks, but some of my friends on the floor heard it was going to be much more. It was moved down to one of the common rooms in the lobby, which I personally thought was going to be way too big for a total of 12 people.
But when my friends and I arrived in the lobby, there was live music coming from the room, and good music at that. Many of us signed in and got some soda, along with cookies you could decorate.
My friends and I sat close to the front, getting front row seats to this *surprisingly good* band. That’s not sarcasm, though. It sounded like they really had been practicing and were miles ahead of my roommate, who’d been playing the electric guitar for weeks at that point.
We shot the breeze, had some soda, and overall had a lot of fun. *At least I did.*
It was a pretty good floor party, and I honestly think I’ll be attending more if they’re like these.
