One of my favorite things is decorating for each holiday and season. Although we are passed the busy holiday season, February is the month of Valentine’s day, so I decided I should tell you about holidays on campus.

As I mentioned before, I love to decorate, so as you can imagine my dorm room is fully decorated, even for the holidays. The target dollar section is where I find cheap holiday decor, perfect for a dorm. I always grab one of the five-dollar holiday pillows and a few other small items, just to get in the spirit of the holiday. I find that decorating makes it feel more like home.

Not only is my dorm decorated for holidays, but the dining halls here on campus are almost always decorated for a holiday or event. The most recent decorations have been for the Chinese New Year. In addition, I can recall the dining halls being decorated for the Fall season, homecoming, and Christmas. In the dining halls, they always find a reason to decorate and celebrate which is fun. I think it creates a welcoming environment for the students!
