Take my word for it, I KNOW how stressful life and school can be.
I have personally struggled with acute anxiety for a couple of years now, and as a result, I often deal with the physical symptoms of it (nausea, migraines, bathroom stuff…). If you are feeling burnt out, stressed, anxious, I want you to know that you aren’t alone. So many people go through very similar things, and it doesn’t make you any less strong or resilient. We often hold a lot of weight on academics, especially at this level, so if you have a test coming up and you’re looking for some ways to de-stress, this is for you.
How I cope with my anxiety:
- Exercise! Really a simple answer, but it does wonders. Yoga, cardio, weightlifting, totally up to you. Helps calm your body down and can help alleviate any physical symptoms you’re experiencing.
- Heated blanket! This helps a lot for when I have stomach pains or nausea. Would highly recommend, especially when combined with a weighted blanket.
- Pain meds!! For headaches and other ailments, I like Tylenol Extra Strength.
Anxiety can be difficult, but always remember that you aren’t alone.
Much love always,
Sophia
