I Said a Hip Hop the Hippie the Hippie 2 the Hip Hip Hop & Ya Don’t Stop

Hip Hop class was a real workout today!

I had so much fun, we were learning the hip hop style of House dance!

The instructor Lovar D Kidd holds a lot of knowledge about all the various aspects of dance. In class we learned a little bit about the history of different styles and moves, then we practice technique, and lastly learn a short routine.

So far we covered: Lyrical/Smooth Hip Hop, Contemporary, Locking and House!

It is a nice stress reliever and it’s pretty cool…like ICE ICE BABY!!

haha…cheesy right?

I had to do it….lol

  1. Hey Mary!

Sorry it took me so long to respond, preparation for the end of my sophomore year is straight up MADNESS! 🙂

As for college transition. Luckily, the University of Iowa has thought about this and they have created a class called College Transition. I never took the class, but I have heard diverse commentary on the matter but overall I heard it is worth it.

For my personal Kyra -Advice, I highly recommend that you get involved in one organization the moment you get here. Some people choose greek life, and others choose a multicultural organization. The University of Iowa campus will throw a huge Student Organization fair—-GO!!! 🙂 Look around. Ask questions.

By joining an organization you will quickly make friends and begin learning from them, especially the upperclassmen within the org. Having that mentorship will be very helpful through your first year here.

I hope this helps. If you are looking for more detailed information, do not hesitate to leave me a comment again, and I will do my best to help you out!

    P.S.
Thank you for taking out the time to read my posts! I appreciate it!
