It’s late and I am tired.

This week has been one very eventful week. With my first flight only a couple days away, my mind has begun to worry. I am currently in the Iowa House Hotel (which to my surprise was actually quite nice!) participating in a very rigorous, skill building, intensive and networking frenzy program called N.E.W. Leadership program. I am truly honored to be surrounded by wonderful, brilliant, and ambitious women for an entire 5 days. I have been inspired to the max and I have been reaffirmed of my personal awesomeness every minute of the day. The encouragement that I receive from this program truly makes me feel like I could be on top of the world!

Today we had the honor to meet Iowa’s first female Supreme Court Chief Justice. Marsha Ternus really reinforced what I believed was lurking in my head for awhile. I should go to law school! Now, I am not sure if I am on conference high but I think that is definitely in my future. How cool is that? In reference to Ternus, she is kind of a big deal! šŸ˜€ She was totally down to earth, very personal, and human. I loved her and her story.

To learn more about this program contact Women’s Resource and Action Center through their website orĀ FacebookĀ page. And if you are one for the easy way, leave me a comment and I would love to share with you more about my experience within the program.

As for now, I am exhausted and need to get some serious sleep. I have an early morning tomorrow. We have a group project that we have to present and I need to wake up early and do some solo preparation. We will be proposing legislation to the “Public Safety Committee ” about state wide air pollution alert systems. I can’t wait!

And for a preview of what will be going on in my life:

Friday Night: Back to my hometown
Sunday: I leave for NYC
Thursday: Fly to Japan
Monday: My first day of class in Japan
